Summer Flower Arranging Classes
First Session, Monday, May 4th, 9:30 a.m. at Pat Ira's (4019 Oldfield Trail)
Bring:  a low flat container,
            a pin holder ,
            several daffodils or tulips
            3 long branches (ex. forsythia, euonymous, willow)
            a bunch of green filler (ex. pachysandra, ivy, azalea, fern fronds)
            some flower filler (ex. viburnum, flowering shrubs, smaller garden flowers)
            a piece of driftwood that is in proportion to your container, if you have it
Note:  If your garden is bare, get a bouquet at your local grocery story and get some branches from your garden.  Come to the class even if you aren't able to get flowers but you will have more fun if you bring some.  Call me if you have any questions (269-372-5788).

All classes are held at Pat Ira's Home at 4019 Oldfield Trail, Kalamazoo from 9:30 a.m. to 12 noon on the dates listed.  Participants need to bring their own containers and flowers for each class.  Following the demonstration they will create their own arrangement.  materials needed for each class will be posted on the Council Web site in April
 
The cost of the four classes is $20.00 and can be paid at the first class in May. Checks should be made out to the Kalamazoo Garden Council.  Classes are limited to 10 people and registration is required.  Register by calling Pat Ira at 269-372-5788 or 941-492-4985.

Part of the program will include a tour of the Fernwood's Railroad Garden.
