1. Provides scholarships to club members to attend the sessions of Flower Show School, Landscape Design School, Environmental Studies School and Gardening Study School.
2. Grants awards to local clubs for community beautification projects up to $200 matching funds.
3. Provides a Miriam Arand scholarship to help clubs go to State Convention each spring.
4. Provides local flower arranging classes each year.
5. Supports the Landscapers Garden Club Garden Walk
6. Schedules and conducts a standard Flower Show
7. Sponsors a Kalamazoo in Bloom flower bed in Bronson Park.
8. Works on projects with Kalamazoo in Bloom and the County Parks Department.
9. Sponsors an annual Holiday Greens Sale for the community.
10. Coordinates the "Inspiring Gardens" program for city beautification.
11. Maintains a library of over 3,000 books and videos on Gardening for council members.
12. Provides the members with an annual directory of its members.
13. Provides members with a quarterly publication, The Garden Post, Four Seasons of News.
14. Maintains the yard and garden around the Council House at Markin Glen Park.
15. Provides members a free, fully equipped kitchen, meeting rooms and work room spaces.
16. Maintains a Gift and Garden Shop for members to obtain supplies at reduced prices.
